Dr. Jamie Mabeus (may-be-us) received her undergraduate degree from Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin with a degree in Psychology and an emphasis in Physical Therapy. After graduating from Carroll, Dr. Mabeus attended National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois where she received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2012.
While attending National University, Dr. Jamie received a well rounded education allowing her to treat patients of any age and in any stage of their life. In addition to the core curriculum provided, she attended continuing education in Sports and Functional Rehabilitation, McKenzie therapy, Kinesiology Taping, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Therapy, Nutrition, Motion Palpation and received a certification in Selective Function Movement Assessment (SFMA). She completed several clinical internships including traveling to Nicaragua with Natural Doctors International and as well as many volunteering opportunities around the Chicagoland area.
Dr. Jamie recently completed her 226+ hour post-graduate training in Veterinary Spinal Manipulative Therapy - Animal Chiropractic - in January of 2015. Since she was young, Dr. Jamie has had a passion for animals and it continues to be an important part of her life today. At the age of 12, her passion for horses and riding began. On the weekends and summers off from school she cleaned stalls and turned out horses to work off her riding lessons. This is where she learned the most about horses. After entering the human health care field, and seeing the positive benefits chiropractic care has for her human patients, she was determined to expand her passion to animals. She currently offers mobile and in-home services for small animals in addition to treating at the Milwaukee Emergency Center for Animals and making farm calls. She happily donates her time and treatments to the animals at HAWS in Waukesha.
